Avv. Giovanni Scognamiglio - Managing Partner
Giovanni Scognamiglio is the founding and managing partner of the Firm, and deals mostly with matters of International contracts, private M&A, education, aerospace and transportation, energy, food, luxury real estate and foundations. He is highly regarded for his ability to find simple and effective solutions to complex matters, often avoiding costly litigations to the client. Giovanni also studied and worked in New York, and then opened the firm’s rep office in Shanghai in 2007, and has worked in several jurisdictions to represent the interests of both companies and individuals. He served in many boards of multinational companies and Foundations, and very active in some international organizations, Rotary International, Propeller Club of the United States, where he held top positions. Giovani is a member of the Italian Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is the author of more than 30 publications on international affairs and commercial matters. Giovanni Scognamiglio is a member of the network “The lawyer network”.
Avv. Daniela Matino - Partner
Daniela Matino joined Scognamiglio Law Firm in 2009 and deals mostly with International Contracts, commercial litigations and International Commercial Arbitrations. She assists and provides her legal support and advice to foreign clients and investors in M&A operations and real estate investments. She has wide experience of advising foreign universities operating in Italy as well as on Intellectual Property cases. Avv. Diego Ascione - Senior Associate
Diego Ascione is a senior associate of the firm dealing mainly working with national contracts with companies, in the field of company law, civil and commercial law for the resolution of all types of judicial and extrajudicial litigation, as well as Insurance Law dealing with relationships with major Italian insurance companies and foreign. Avv. Emanuele di Prisco - Associate
Emanuele di Prisco joined the firm in September 2025. He focuses on international contracts, cross-border disputes, corporate and international business law. He is in charge of the US Desk alongside the Managing Partner, providing legal support to European clients interested in traveling, relocating, investing, or working in the USA. After the degree in law in Naples, in 2019 Emanuele earned his LL.M. in International Legal Studies with honors from Golden Gate University of San Francisco, receiving also the ‘2020 Outstanding LL.M. in International Legal Studies Student Award’. Prior to joining the firm Emanuele worked for major international law firms and developed a strong expertise in US Immigration law, with a successful track record of over 250 clients in complex cases involving visas, travel bans, waivers, and removal proceedings. Emanuele worked as an intern at the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (Beijing office, China) where he gained first-hand experience in international relations. Carmela Cennamo - Marketing & Communication Carmela has many years of experience in the administrative and accounting activities of the telecommunications sector. She joined the Scognamiglio Law Firm in 2011. She implements marketing and communication strategies, coordinates the actions of Brand Identity, web site update and training processes and recruitment. Loredana Albano - Management Assistant
Loredana was born in Naples on February 7, 1966. She is graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples in 1986/87 - Scenography section, she has experience in the field of design and graphics collaborating with several companies, and in the field Legal. Avv. Francesco Giraldi - Of Counsel
Francesco Giraldi began his collaboration with Scognamiglio Law Firm in 2006 in Shanghai, where he worked with Tongji University on the development of the Trainee Program and distinguished himself as a speaker on Italian law topics. Since 2010, Francesco has been living in Paris, where he has taken on the role of Business Developer and consultant for French and international companies, leading commercial expansion strategies with a particular focus on adopting new technologies. He specializes in integrating artificial intelligence solutions into business processes, significantly improving his clients' operational efficiency.
